fund to respond to the needs of desperately ill patients who
are destitute and in need of treatment at the Center for Urologic
and Pelvic Pain.
The first
priority for the Pudendal Neuralgia Foundation is to organize
statistics collected from over 500 patients seen by Dr. Stanley
J. Antolak at the Center for Urologic and Pelvic Pain. This data
will be used to complete a first of its' kind study of Pudendal
Neuralgia. This will result in statistics which document the improvement
seen with various treatment options for chronic pelvic pain. This
will be ground breaking data which will dramatically change the
way practitioners evaluate and diagnose pudendal neuralgia. These
statics will be used as a bench mark for future evaluations.
The anticipated Budget for this project is $75,000. This includes
the computer system, data entry and retrieval, statistical support,
illustration, editing and publication costs, and salary for a
research coordinator.
Financial
support of this project will truly make a difference in the advancement
of medical science and the care of patients around the world.
