Pudendal Neuralgia Foundation

The Pudendal Neuralgia Foundation was established to support the treatment and research being done by Dr. Stanley Antolak at the Center for Urologic and Pelvic Pain. There is a need to educate patients, families, and medical care providers to recognize neuropathic causes of pelvic pain.

Mission:

Establishing world wide recognition of Pudendal neuralgia as a major cause of chronic pelvic pain.

Vision:

The Pudendal Neuralgia Foundation (PNF) recognizes that chronic pelvic pain has serious physical and emotional effects on patients and families, and we champion dignity and respect for all people affected by this disease. Through education, advocacy and research, we are increasing public and professional understanding of pudendal neuralgia.

We support critical clinical research for worldwide acceptance of this disease process through cooperation with multiple medical disciplines and research centers.

We publicize prevention techniques that are common sense and cost free.

Goals:

1. Empower patients to direct their care toward neuropathic pain rather than organ base disease processes.

2. Raise awareness in the general community and media about the neuropathic basis of chronic pelvic pain.

3. Educate medical providers to expand knowledge of pudendal neuralgia as a cause for chronic pelvic pain.

4. To engage multi-specialty and multi-institutional support of research and clinical studies.
